    Okay guys, released a better fix. Version 2.0.8 should be able to reliably detect if a featured image value is a YouTube ID set by AYVP and overwrite it with the proper thumbnail ID.

    Marking this as resolved because featured images should be working with AYVP now.

    I’m aware there’s still an issue with saving the thumbnail during the actual import using AYVP and I’m working on a fix, but that’s a different topic.

    I installed this wonderful plugin Video Thumbnail and reading the issue of not automatically setting the thumbnail as featured image. This problems still persists as I need to manually click “Search Again” to fins the thumbnail and only then it will be set as featured image. I am also using the AYVP plugin. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Has anyone get a solution to this persisting problem? That the youtube thumbnail, although being downloaded in Media Library, is not getting placed automatically in Featured Image?

    I was looking at the author’s site and saw that there is a similar plugin like AYVP and its called, Refactored Video Importer. I want to know if it will work with with automatic Youtube post like AYVP. And if the author accepts Paypal payment option to purchase it. Thanks.
