• Am I wrong in concluding that there is no featured image page for TwentyTwelve?

I’d like a featured images page on my blog similar to this one – but it seems there is no option for it using the TwetyTwevle (child) theme.

Is there a workaround I could hard-code in?

    Any help would be appreciated…

  • I don’t fully understand your question –

Twenty Twelve shows the featured image above the post title in the index and archive pages; just formatted differently from your example site.

At the risk of sounding like a complete dummy. I’m not sure that that’s true. For instance – when I navigate to the index:

    https://dev.dreamasreality.com/2013/07/

I get the one post listed, with no featured image; I have uploaded one yet I don’t see it anywhere…

I was generalizing too much – in more detail:
    if the featured image gets shown will depend on the selected ‘post format’;

your post has the post format ‘image’ which utilizes content-image.php – which does not show the featured image.

Thanks, I guess my question becomes, what must I do to get a featured image page as my example above. It doesn’t seem possible with my current template.

Would this call for custom coding in my part?

I still don’t have an answer for this.

I am basically looking for a format that returns a featured image page like this:

    Example 1

    or this:

    Example 2

Is this possible using the TwentyTwelve theme?

Nevermind. I just stumbled across a helpful webpage which clearly defines which kind of featured image will be used dependent on the template design:

    Hope it’s useful!
