No export file…..Am I screwed?

    I wiped the server clean. I have the entire site on my hard drive, including backup of the DB.

    Can the site still be resurrected WITHOUT the exported .xml file??

    The export file is irrelevant. If you have the files and DB, you have what’s necessary to recreate the site.

    Copy the files onto your new server and import the database via phpmyadmin (or using mysql from the command line).

    Thank you Steve……whew…..

    Now, however, I am getting a access denied when I attempt to import the backup DB into the newly created DB through phpmyadmin

    I have a trouble ticket out on my host, but if there are any ideas that could get me further today….that would be great. The WP site connected OK to the new DB, just can’t import the backup. I have checked that the user has ALL permissions as well

    Is it trying to create a new database? Check the top of the .sql file and if it has a create database line, remove it.
