No error validation on checkout

Stripe payment gateway plugin causes my checkout woocommerce-error message to dissapear. If i use paypal and forget to fill out the first name an error message will appear that says “Billing First name is a required field.” If i select stripe the errror message dissapears even though first name has not bee filled out. The only thing that notifies me to the fact that the first name needs to be filled out is a red outline around the first name input box. I need my error message to show. Thanks in advance
