When V2 reCaptcha is not solved and the form is submitted, the captcha does not show any error or anything else to inform the user about the situation.

Would be great to have an option to show an error message or at least a way to style the unsolved captcha. Current behaviour breaks an UX a bit…

    Hi @korinektomas

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ve focused on creating V3 reCAPTCHA instead as it has some benefits over V2 reCAPTCHA (higher conversion rates).

I have added this to our development schedule, I do not have a timeframe when this will be released or fulfilled.

I suggest trying out V3 reCAPTCHA which should improve the UX for your visitors.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Hi @andrewza

Thanks for your response! I was hesitating to use V3 reCAPTCHA option, because I am not sure what happens when the client does not pass the Google server test. (Not sure how often it can happen for a human user, but I suppose there is still some chance…)

In case of custom imlementation of V3 reCAPTCHA I can decide what happens according to verification response, but since this is a ready-made plugin (which is cool btw), I just do not know what to expect in that situation.

So could you be please so nice and tell me how the plugin (or form) acts in the situation the Google server responds with a negative statement?

Thanks for your answer and your work!
    Tomas

    Any update on this?
This is really needed as per the user’s point of view. If someone tries to submit without checking the box, it is JUST NOTHING HAPPENS. there should be a prompt.

@andrewza is there any progress on this yet? Moreover, I tried v3 but was not working. Was showing error for the site owner.

@korinektomas were you able to find any solution for this?

    Hey @jasmeetsingh

Since there was no progress regarding V2 version, I was forced to use V3 ??

Did you try to generate new set of keys for V3? (you cannot use the same as for V2)

    Anything new on this one?
Why is this thread marked as resovled?
I’d rather use v2 because of the way the expiration is handled in v3.
    Thanks
