no error message displaying on my account page when incorrect details

Thanks for reaching out! I’ve tested this on the site URL you’ve provided and I see what you mean, although no errors are being displayed in the console.

Are you currently using any User registration plugins? Also, is this a new issue that crept up? Was the error message previously displayed as expected, or has it always been missing?

Can you please share a copy of the your sites system status report so that we can take a closer look at your sites current environment. You can find this via?WooCommerce?→?Status. Select?Get system report?and then?Copy for Support.

Its a site that has not yet gone live – working on it currently – so I have not noticed it before as all emails etc were switched off. BUT testing on other woo sites i have I most certainly do see an error message

I don’t believe any of the plugins in use are USER reg ones

I reviewed your site and noticed that you’re using the GeneratePress theme and multiple plugins. This issue may be related to a theme or plugin conflict.

To help pinpoint the cause, could you switch temporarily to the default Storefront theme and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce? This will help us see if the issue persists with only the core components active. For guidance on how to safely run this test without affecting your live site, please follow this conflict testing guide.

If the issue is resolved after deactivating other plugins or switching themes, it may be best to reach out to the developers of the theme or plugin causing the conflict for further support.

Let us know if you still experience the issue after activating only the Storefront theme and WooCommerce.

I have found the conflicting plugin and contacted the plugin owner to ask them to assist resolving this

it was the multi store addons for AGILE that was conflicting – oddly!
