No error, but doesn’t add a post

  • Hi,

    I’m trying out this plugin and it looks like it should do exactly what I am after. Unfortunately, after adding the title, content and featured image… I click “save post” and I see the loading bar… and then it send me back to a fresh ‘Single Import’ screen. It hasn’t imported anything, no errors, no error in the WP log… What’s wrong??

    @rico-macchi I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials. I have flagged your account temporarily. That just means that your post will need to be approved and @ notifications from you will not work.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

    Hello,
    I could use a little more information..
    Does this happen when migrating single and multiple posts ?
    If a single scrape does this happen from all source sites ?

    I was not trying to login to the users site or ask him for his credentials. I was trying to get more information so I can help. But of course I will be happy to comply with all forum guidelines now and in the future.

    Single scrape. I have tried it on 3 different domains with the same result.

    The title imports, the article body imports. All looks good. And then I click ‘save post’ and it doesn’t save it.

    Some additional debug would be helpful to know what is going wrong.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello,
    After saving the post, It will bring you back to the post edit screen, but on top of the page you will see view post or edit post that was just created. do you see that message?
    Do you see any errors in the console?
    You can try deactivating any plugin that you feel might be interfering.
    I can not repeat the error on my site, so any and all information well help.
