    i already install Vik Mail SMTP
    i have the same problem with shabik

    at first i thought its my server configuration
    but what’s weird is, when i tried to fill the form through contact form 7, my site send the email to my gmail

    do i miss something here ?

    i already open all the email port on my server.. nothing change

    Thanks for your message. Vik Booking does not directly send email messages to guests. It’s WordPress that sends the email messages.

    What our plugin does, is to prepare the whole email message, with subject, body, attachments, sender address and recipient address(es). At this point, the WordPress core functions are called to actually dispatch the email message.

    Most of the times, the reason why your message is not being sent (actually “delivered”), is because of a conflict either with the sender email address (defined in the Configuration page of Vik Booking) or with the recipient email address. This is because sometimes mail servers may refuse to deliver messages with certain combinations of sender/recipient email addresses.

    Our plugin Vik Mail SMTP only serves as a way to tell WordPress how to send such email messages (i.e. through an SMTP connection or via PHP Mail) and to log the result of such email sending actions. However, any other similar plugin would work to understand why some of your email messages are not being delivered to the final recipient. Alternatively, your hosting company should somehow access or provide the mail server logs (unless you use SMTP connections to send the email messages).

    I have installed contact form 7 and other plugins and I could send emails with the plugin and other similar plugins.
    Installed vik Mail SMTP and successfully sent test email.
    Please help.

    If your website is capable of sending email messages, then you should check the configuration settings in Vik Booking. More precisely, you should make sure the “Sender Email Address” param is not in conflict with the policies of your server for the email sending functions. As explained above, some servers may refuse to send email messages from a sender that does not belong to your domain address. This is usually done for security reasons.

    Our plugin is not responsible for sending the email messages, as this is handled by the WordPress native functions. What Vik Booking does is to prepare the email object, with sender, recipient, subject, content, attachments etc.. at that point, the email object will be handed over to WordPress, which will attempt to deliver the message according to settings and plugins installed.

    You should use third party plugins to change the MTA (“Mail Transport Agent”, from PHP Mail to SMTP or vice-versa) or to monitor the results of the various email sending requests. This way you can understand if anything is wrong. Alternatively, the best solution is to ask your hosting company to check the mail server logs to understand if anything stopped the processes from completing (unless you are using an external SMTP connection).
