We have tried setting up the Ecommerce tracking using this plugin, and tried testing the tracking like add_to_cart, view_cart etc through tagassistant.google.com but can’t find any Ecommerce related events. How can I fix this? Can someone help me with this? As GA4 is important for the business. Thanks.

I understand your concern. To address this issue, I recommend going through the?configuration steps?and making sure everything is correctly set up.

If the plugin is configured properly, could you please perform a conflict test to check if another plugin or theme is causing the issue? You can follow this guide: How to Test for Conflicts.

If that does not help, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status Report? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Also, please check the fatal error logs (if any) from WooCommerce > Status > Logs and choose from the drop-down menu the fatal-errors.log.

Thank you for your reply.

I checked the report and noticed that the WooCommerce database is not updated to match the current version which is 9.5.1.

WC Database Version: 9.1.4

This could result in unexpected behavior. I recommend you manually update the database.
Go to WooCommerce > Status > Tools and then click the Update database button.

I also noticed you have WPCode Lite installed.
Could you tell me what custom code you have in this plugin?
I want to make sure it does not conflict with Google Analytics for WooCommerce.

Hi @doublezed2 , the WP Code lite contains mostly cosmetic changes, First Name and Last Name field validations and updating the stocks by utilizing these filters:
woocommerce_catalog_orderby
woocommerce_no_products_found
storefront_header

Also, please note, we were using GTM before to connect with GA4, can that be an issue?

Thank you for the details. The issue you’re facing may be related to user consent, as the Google Analytics for WooCommerce plugin does not manage consent for cookies natively. If users haven’t given consent to cookies, the tracking events such as add_to_cart and view_cart will not trigger. To fix this, you will need to use a third-party consent management plugin to ensure that users are prompted to consent to cookies. Once the consent is given, the relevant events will be triggered correctly.

Are you already using a consent plugin to manage this? If not, I recommend adding one to handle the consent process.
