• Disappointed. After reading the plugin description I expected a fairly intuitive way to style my sign-up form but it didn’t offer such settings. Form also displayed “inline” instead of breaks between fields which looked ridiculous (the setting was correct).

After this experience I googled how to style mailchimp embedded sign up form and I found some nice solutions.

    Hi @ms416

    I’m sorry you’re disappointed.

For the free plugin we provide classes and the ability to add custom classes so folks who know CSS can style the form any way they like. We also keep the form styles very plain so it will take on the styles of the theme you use. Depending on the theme you are using the forms can look very different site-to-site.

Also, people post to the free forums wanting something speficic and we are happy to provide custom CSS and instructions on how to safely add that to their theme.

For folks who need more styling, we offer a Customizer add-on.

    Best wishes for your site!

Thanks Tracy. I don’t understand why developers like yourselves miss an opportunity to simply provide easy to follow instructions for how to style your forms (unless it’s all about forcing users to pay for “add ons”)

On google two minutes to locate this guide https://uhurunetwork.com/customizing-mailchimp-form-design/

It took me about fifteen minutes to apply this, style it and it looks dope.

    Cheers,
    Mike

    Hi @ms416

It would be difficult to provide a one size fits all CSS snippet because the style of the form is most defined by the theme the site is using.

When folks post to the free forms about wanting specific styles, we never force them to buy anything and we often provide custom CSS snipets for them.

    Thank you,
    -Tracy
