no drop down menu

    Hello,

    The plug-in installed okay, and the Arbitrary drop down appears in Appearance –> widget. Arbitrary tells me “This area can be used for widget shortcode”, however, that’s it. There is no drop down menu, or area to enter text. I have the most recent WordPress version, is that the issue?

    Hi,

    Add a Text widget into that widget area, and you can use that to enter your text.
    The plugin allows you to add any widgets in there as desired though, so any widget from your Available Widgets list (displayed on the left in Appearance > Widgets admin screen by default) is ok.
