no download link after purchase of digital product when using WP E Commerce

    E commerce plugin version 3.8.6

    (Two days of searching support forums in wordpress. Others have started the thread, some threads with this issue are closed, but I find no “resolved threads.” Checked Google threads. Check getshopped.org forum threads. A lot of people are having this problem, but I don’t see it resolved.)

    After a successful purchase, customer is taken to the thank you page and no download link is provided. No download link is emailed to the customer. Download is also not in the my downloads under the my account section. In short, no download link is sent after successful purchase. I tried disabling paypal as a checkout option and only using the donation button. Still not ready to do a test purchase of my BETA product using paypal.

    Things I did check for:
    The IPN for paypal (using paypal standard after I finish this test mode) is on and set correctly.
    I did check the IPN settings on the WP side of things. Green lights there.
    Under the tabs Settings>Store>presentation, “add to cart” has been selected.

    What I didn’t check for:
    Is there a separate script I need to create/add to provide the download link in Settings>Store>admin?

    Are you orders been marked as payment accepted (in your sales logs) return from the gateway?

    Also do you have the %product_list% tag in your purchase receipt (located under settings > store > admin) – without this the download links will not be sent.

    I’m having the same issues. I’m using google checkout and paypal and when I do a test the successful purchase is being displayed but no link is being sent to anyone.

    I’ve check the above setting and they seem to be set correctly.

    Anyone have a solution for this? The support for wp ecommerce is weak to say the least.

    I had the same problem so did you upload the DD item for the DD variation of each product? You will see a edit link under each variation. It worked for me.This is kinda hard to explain.

    I did have same issue for my one of my client store having digital product with Google checkout then find a work around for this modifying php code .
