No delivery cost shown when Local pickup is selected

    Hello,
    I’m using Woocommerce with WCFM, and I’ve got this issue :

    When a vendor sets their local pickup as free (by entering “0” in their settings), instead of displaying “Free” or “0,00€” on the checkout (and basket) page, it just displays nothing… Which lets the customer think that they actually have to pay the flat rate (3,50€) showed just above.

    Is there any way to avoid this confusing situation by showing “0,00€” or a custom text?

    I’d suggest to change the name of the Local Pickup shipping method to include the word “gratuit”, that might clear it up a bit more for your customers:

    Hi Senff, thanks for the quick response.
    I’ve thought of it but if my vendors want to charge a fee for it then it would be even more confusing as a result :/

    I see what you mean, that will indeed be more confusing.

    In that case, you’ll probably going to need to add some custom coding to your site. I’m going to leave this thread open in case someone else might know some code that can help with that.

    If you meant is anyone able to help you write the custom code mentioned above, you will likely need to go to places like the Advanced Facebook WooCommerce group, or WooCommerce Developer Slack – as these forums are intended for the default functionality of WooCommerce.

    You can also check sites like https://www.codeable.io for skilled third-party developers that can help you.

    I’d recommend first checking with the developers of the WCFM plugin, as they may already be aware of this issue when using their plugin and have a solution for you.

    Normally either a price would be shown or it would display the shipping method name (such as “Free Shipping”) like this:

    I wouldn’t be able to say what the WCFM plugin has done as we do not support that plugin. If you wanted to look into customizing this though, you could explore sites such as https://www.codeable.io to find skilled third-party developers.
