no date in static front page

Hi,

I am using the plugin to have a static front page with the “home” slug. For some reason I can’t figure out the date is displayed right under the title of the page. Moreover at the bottom of the page the comment link is available even though i did unchecked the option when writing the page. Could you help me to understand how to get rid of the date and the comment link.

P.S. On other pages I don’t have this “problem”.
