I had an old version of WordPress and the All in one WP security plugin installed… I ended up with a brute force attack that had almost 50 files being infected. I had the plugin setup to do a backup every 4 weeks and save 8 at a time, I chose to not have them emailed because it kept emailing about 10 every couple of days. Now when I login to my ftp account and look at /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/backups there is only 1 file and it’s from today…

This doesn’t help me because my hosting is telling me I have to delete all these files before they will re-establish my plan. I don’t have any backups that I can revert to and it’s left me with a major problem. Any suggestions??

I can show which files they are telling me to delete if anyone will help.

    Thanks

Hi, the biggest problem you have is not having full backups of your whole site. A database backup is fine but a full backup is something that you should regularly create.

I know that my reply above does not help much but it is kind of a reminder that backing up is a huge time savior and a must. You will need to ask your host for a previous full backup of your site. Is that possible?
