• Hello,

I have installed WordFence on several sites, and used to see data in the emailed activity reports under the Top 10 headings and Recently Blocked Attacks heading. For the last several days, the emails for each of my sites donot show any activity under any of those headings. The only info is the Recently Modified Files section.

I have not changed settings on these sites recently, so I don’t know why I am no longer getting the information.

On a possibly related note, my hosting provider, Siteground, reports more bot traffic in recent days, too.

Has something changed in what WordFence offers for free accounts?

How can I start receiving these activity reports again?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello, @commontater

Can you please confirm if you have all or multiple sites experiencing this issue currently? I would recommend going to Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Database Tables and making sure no tables are reported as crashed or needing to be repaired there in the Comment column. The recent block data comes from the wfhits table.

Please send over diagnostics for me from that Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page by using the Send Report by Email button. Send those to wftest @ wordfence dot com and put your forum username in the second field there. Let me know here when those are sent, please.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hello Scott.

The diagnostic report was sent per your instructions.

    Thanks for checking into this.

    Thanks, @commontater

Your hits table does not appear to be populated with many rows. Can you confirm where you’re hosted and if you can have that wfhits table repaired?

Alternatively, you can completely reinstall Wordfence to see if that helps with the database table issue. To do that, first, take note of your license via the Wordfence > All Options > Wordfence License area. Then export your options via Wordfence > Tools > Import/Export Options and then reinstall Wordfence completely by deactivating it and using the bottom option to clear all tables. When you re-activate Wordfence, use the option to use an existing license and paste yours you saved from earlier. You can then go to Import/Export Options and import settings string you saved.

Let me know if the repair or reinstall helps or if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hello,

    Not resolved.

My schedule demanded that I leave this issue for later, so I squeezed in time to return to it last week.

Per your instructions, I grabbed the license info, then following your instructions for reinstall. I needed to wait for the weekly email report to see the results. It still shows there are no entries in the Top 10 lists for IPs, countries, failed logins, or recently blocked attacks. Recently modified files continues to show information.

I have numerous sites (18) that use Wordfence, and I’m not getting information on any of them. All are hosted at the same service, Siteground. Does Siteground block Wordfence? They have a pricey paid security app, but I haven’t tried it yet due to cost.

    Your continued assistance is appreciated.

    Hello, @commontater

I appreciate your patience here. Can you please confirm what you’re seeing in Wordfence > Tools > Live Traffic as far as recent traffic on a few sites? Is that area populating with unique traffic, or are you seeing something different by chance, such as no entries or similar?

Could you please send over updated diagnostics from the site since the reinstall from Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics by using the Send Report by Email button? Send those to wftest @ wordfence dot com and put your forum username in the second field there.

Please let me know here when those are sent, please.

    Thanks again,
    Scott

Have you had any luck with tracking down the problem? I also have the same issue with some of my sites hosted on SiteGround that use the free version, however, the reports continue to arrive as expected on the sites with the premium version of the plugin.
