I’m getting a “no data” error pop up when anyone visits my blog. I’m not sure where to even go to find out why this is happening. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • What plugins do you have installed?
One of them may require you to edit the settings.
Seems like it may be one that is meant to be shown to guests.

    My plugin list:

    Autochimp
    Better WP Security
    Jetpack
    MailChimp widget
    duplicate post

does that help? I’m not sure which one it could be.

Try deactivating ALL of them – see if it goes away. If so, reactivate them one by one to see which one is causing that.

If it doesn’t go away, try leaving them deactivated and switch to twentytwelve theme- to see if it’s a theme-related issue.

If that doesn’t work go in to your wp-config.php file and set ‘Debug’ to ‘True’ then re-load your page and see if you can pin-point where and what line the error is generating in/on.

What would I look for to pin-point the origin of the error?

If it goes away when the plugin is deactivated.

if there is an error displayed at the top it will be pretty precise in telling you the exact file and location of the file that is throwing the error. It will also say at the end what line

Sorry WPyogi, I did deactivate all the plugins and it has not gone away with that or changing the theme.

I meant with Evan’s suggestion to check my wp-config.php file

inside of your wp-config.php file located in the root folder of your site you will see :

    define('WP_DEBUG', false);

you need to set it to true, save the file and reload your site

Ah, never mind. I was able to find the source of my error. Thank you both for your help!
