Hello, I set up analytics on my site using site kit four days ago, but there is no data being received by google analytics.

According to my site kit, it is connected to the correct UA property on my account and site kit says both the UA code snippet and the GA4 code is inserted.

It is connected correctly to search console and providing data but not on analytics. Any ideas as to why? I’ve tried flushing my site cache but that didn’t work either.

Thanks for getting in touch @slofe. When you say there is no data data being received from Analytics, what may be occurring is a modification to your Analytics snippet, such as a defer attribute or other third party plugin modification may be impacting how your Analytics snippet works.

Thanks for sharing @slofe. I’ve checked your site and I can see that both a Universal Analytics (UA) and a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tag are firing as expected. You can check this yourself using the tagassistant.google.com service.

When you were checking for tags, can you share what you were using to determine that the tags were not firing? I ask as you may have been using the legacy Chrome extension. By default, with a Site Kit placed snippet, logged in administrators are not counted in Analytics traffic. This may have led you to believe your Analytics visits were not firing.

Hi, thanks for this. Yes, it does appear to be working OK now. I was getting the info from analytics itself, and it was saying no data had been sent since I signed up, but that may have meant I’d had no visitors. I had a visitor now so I can see it’s working. Thanks for your help ??

Glad to hear it’s not reporting for you as expected! If you have any further Site Kit queries, you know where to find us. Best of luck with your site.
