    Hello.

I have read some glowing reviews about this plugin and I wanted to see if it would help our organization restrict pages that are only meant for certain users. From what I’ve read, it seems to be the right solution. However, when I installed the plugin, I’m missing the options/data to set this up properly.

I’ve read from another user’s account of something similar that they were able to fix this issue by selecting a different language? I am on English (US) and tried English (UK), but this doesn’t seem to do anything either.

What else can I try with this issue? I have included a screenshot.

    Thank you for reporting this.

In your screenshot it is clear to me that the problem is caused by a JavaScript error.

Could you open the browser console (F12 in most browsers), refresh the page, and tell me what the error says? If you move the cursor over the file/path mentioned in the error, you should be able to see where it originates from.

There’s a delay in a separate error message. It takes about 2 minutes for this last error to appear.

    Thank you!

Can you move the mouse over the link for “select2.full.min.js” in the second error? That should give you the full path.

Restrict User Access uses a popular library called “select2”, but because other plugins use an earlier version of it, things break like this. So finding out what plugin uses that file will make it possible for me to contact the developer and let them know of the incompatibility.

I’ve got the same problem. In my case, it’s Ultimate Member. Any chance to have this resolved?

Thank you for reporting this. Are you using the latest versions of both plugins?

It looks like I notified the developers of that plugin about this issue (though affecting another plugin of mine) 2 years ago, and that it should have been resolved last year: https://github.com/ultimatemember/ultimatemember/issues/75
