No customizer since last update

  • Hello,
    since the last update the customizer does not work anymore.
    If I click it, it switches to the page, but there is no content to work on.
    WP 5.9
    Confit 1.3.3
    PHP 8.0
    Could you pleas help, because the page does not look correct anymore.
    I have to change some things in Custom CSS.

  • Hi Kirsten,

    Do you see the Additional CSS option under Appearance, or is that also missing?

    I enabled Confit on a test site running WP 5.9, and I’m still able to access the Customizer under Appearance in the dashboard, so I don’t think the issue is with the theme.

    Please try ruling out if a plugin conflict might be causing this. Disable all plugins. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you are able to install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Hello,
    no, nothing there.
    Can I send a screenshot?
    There’s the left side-bar, where normally the list of items appear.
    But now there’s only “Deine ?nderungen für Pilates Pur” and at the bottom
    “Ausblenden” and the icons für the screen-choice.
    But if I click on on, nothing happens. No button reacts.
    Thanks so far, but I still need help.

    Hello once more,
    even with Health Check in Troubleshooting mode nothing appears in the customizer.
    Ich changed the themes, deactivated all of the plugins, health check says, that the site is well setup.
    Customizer stays unusable.

    That indicates that the issue is not with the theme. I think you’ll probably get more help if you post to the troubleshooting forum.
