No Custom Sidebars since 4.9

    I put the sidebars on the right side in the 20/17 theme using Custom CSS and created sidebars and footer for pages with the plugin “Custom Sidebars”.

    Since the update to 4.9 it does not work anymore (even if I omit the custom CSS). It shows custom footers, but just blanc sidebar on pages, not even the “original” blog sidebar (which just appears in the blog).

    How do I get my sidebars displayed again?

    (If I change the theme to 20/15 or 20/16 the sidebars are back …)

    many thanks for posting. That sounds very very interesting; i have mades similar experience – but untill now i did not have a fix for this behavior.

    I exactly can second your statement. Well i need to do some further investigations.

    I solved this issue, by just using another theme …tired of trying for hours, getting no support …
