I installed and activated the plugin. I am editing a page with the block editor. I look in the menu for a block type called “custom layout” per the instructions in the FAQ, but there is no new block type to be found from the plugin. I want to customize the layout of the WooCommerce shop page, or use a combination of the custom layout block and the woocommerce all products block. However, custom layouts block is not present.

    Hey @momentumrising

What you need is the “posts layout” block…

Try having a look and see if that is installed?

    Thanks

That worked, thank you very much. I was able to add the block and create a custom post template, in which the featured image is set to left aligned, source size medium. Save everything and publish the corresponding page. Go to the page in live view, and the layout of the template for each of the products in the block looks completely different than what I had created. The featured image is top aligned, spanning full width across above the title and excerpt fields. What would cause the page editor preview view to be completely different than the resulting live page? I have cleared browser cache, cleared Cloudflare cache, and refreshed the page. Problem persists.

Do you have a link I could look at?

It sounds like it could be a CSS generation issue (we create a CSS file after saving your layout).

In our settings screen, we have a “rebuild CSS” option – can you try that, and also let me know what it says the status is?

    Thanks

I regenerated the CSS and it still looks incorrrect.

    Thanks for that.

I currently have one idea as to what it could be related to:

    – I can see when I look at the code, the template (in your layout), has an ID of 0 – which means its using the default template settings (not your customised template).

    1. Can you check, in your layout, that you have chosen the correct template from the dropdown?

Assuming that is correct, then I would try the following:

    2. Create another template (with a new name), and try selecing the new template in your layout instead.

Let me know how you get on.

    Thanks

That was the issue. I could have sworn I had it set properly already, but I guess not. Thank you for your help.
