No content displayed from Facebook post which auto generates a preview

    When I post a link to an article on a Facebook page and that link on Facebook auto generates a preview of the article (an image with a little bit of text), the Facebook plugin only shows the link with the amount of likes, comments and when it was posted on Facebook. Is there a way around that to either exclude those from being displayed through the WordPress plugin or actually get the preview information too? All other Facebook posts where I post text or images work. I can not post a link to the site at the moment because the site is not yet launched and I can’t publicize it yet.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Martin,

    You can enable the link previews in the widget settings or by passing show_link_previews=1 to the shortcode.

    Example

    [recent_facebook_posts show_link_previews=1]

    If you’re loading the default CSS as well (configurable in the plugin settings), they will be formatted nearly the same as they’re on Facebook.
