No contact form in free version

I’m very disappointed, I was expecting a fully functional coming soon page even with the free version, but then I discover that the free version doesn’t support shortcodes and then the contact form is not showing up. What’s the use of a coming soon page without a contact form? There are much better ones. I don’t understand all the good ratings. And why do you put the contact form option in the free version if you don’t support it? I’m puzzled. The free versions does really little.
