No confirmation text and emails with file upload larger than 15MB

    Hi,

    I am using VFB free version. Everything is working fine up to file upload 15MB. Confirmation is all fine – page and confirmation emails. But for the files over 15MB there is no confirmation (page/text) and also no confirmation emails. Just blank page! Still form is received in VFB Entries section together with the file. In the VFB Settings pane Max Upload Size is set to 30MB. In the Server error log stays ‘Error 500 POST /my-form/ HTTP/1.0’. I contacted the server administrators and they claim to have all the settings raised to maximum. Any idea what is causing this problem?

  • Hello Vendransadic,

    I’d suspect that your server is restricting the file size. VFBPro does not control limits on file size. I am not sure where you set the max upload size in VFBPro as that is not a feature we offer. The problem is most likely server related, php settings. Check to make sure your server isnt timing out because of the time it takes to upload larger files, make sure your actual WordPress install is allowing uploads of that file size and that your server will as well. Also check and make sure your running at least php 5.4.

    The problem is certainly in the server settings. I tested the same form on a different server with other hosting provider and everything works fine.
