    Hello,
in the description is mentioned, that it will compress image that is uploaded. That is only partially true. If an image is large, for example, 6000px, there is a setting to resize it to 1000px and compression level 60, my testing image came from original 3.8Mb to 61kb. So far so good. But if I resize my original image in Photoshop to 1000px and upload it as 720kb image, it will be recompressed only to 667kb. When I look to images on the disk, they have same pixels but there is 10 fold difference in size.
Now, if I go for bulk optimization, both images are skipped on gound that there is no saving.

Is there anything I’m doing wrong?

Or can you please make in the new update to use the same level of the compression for non-resized uploaded full-size images that is set in the field “JPG quality level:”?

As well would it be possible to resize full-size images to “JPG quality level:” on bulk optimization? Thank you very much!

    Best Regards,
    Jaro

Just for who’s got the same problem you might find useful this information:

In the free version, there is only lossless algorithm available. So uploaded image will have about the same size, no matter what’s compression level you have set in plugin’s settings.

If you upload a large image and you have turned on resizing, the resized, full-size version of the image will be compressed by the value you have set in plugin’s settings.

The solution is to upload larger images and set resize or turn off this plugin and use Resize Image After Upload plugin.

    Have a nice day
