• I was looking for a quick way of implementing an image map so I wouldn’t have to spend too much time coding out the setup. This was exactly what I was looking for. I read through some of the other criticisms, but I have to say that I do not entirely agree with them. Most of them have to do with the site being either unresponsive or difficult to add custom styles to. Though it’s true that the plugin does not appear natively responsive, it’s very easy to remedy if you’re familiar with CSS. The plugin is wrapped in a class called .imgmap-frontend-image. Simply calling that class, and applying my own width and height specifications was all it took for me to have a responsive image map. I’ve played around with changing some of the other styles as well, and, so far, no issues.

On the negative side, I feel that the UI could be a little more streamlined. There are some slightly frustrating instances of having to redo whole map areas, rather than being able to simply edit them. The entire setup of the image map could be a little better explained. However, it’s fairly intuitive. It took just a little tinkering to figure out how it all worked.

Anyway, I think this plugin is a great time saver at a great value. My thanks and appreciation to the developer/s.
