• I installed 2.7 and cannot get it to allow comments. It won’t even show an “add comment” link or button on the posts. I’ve made sure all of the settings allow comments. I’ve reloaded wp_includes. I’ve read the comments.php file and it appears to be correct. I’ve looked for plug-ins that might help and found none. Does anyone know a solution? I have to have this blog live and functional today, and if I can’t find an answer quickly I will have to change software.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I forgot to mention, this is a new load, not an upgrade so I am not dealing with prior install conflicts.

Never mind, I’m out of time. I realize that this is an open source application, but the latest release is touted as being stable. It is total BS to make that statement and then not monitor the only support mechanism provided. WordPress…your software is glitchy and without some sort of timely support it’s nothing but junk.

You also forgot to mention what theme you’re using and if the same issue persists with the Default theme. A link to the site may have been helpful as well.

Sorry you’re unhappy, but free support by volunteers may not always be instantaneous. Nobody is paid to be here. ??

If you do wish to pay folks, you might be more interested in trying the WordPress Jobs or the WP-Pro’s mailing list.
