No Comment Notifications! Neither admin/subscribe to comments

    I am not receiving any comment notifications at all. Not for comments posted, nor comments held in moderation.

    I am using WordPress 1.5.2, and I’ve double checked: my email was entered correctly.

    Additionally, I hear that people subscribing to comments (using Subscribe to Comments 2 Plugin) are not receiving notifications either.

    I’ve tried disabling all plugins: no luck.

    I’ve tried switching to the default, un-modified theme: no luck.

    Finally, I tried my own non-WP php mail form: no luck either! Mails were not delivered. This leads me to believe it’s a server issue.

    Finally I try a WordPress 1.6 alpha “do not use” build, and voila, it works.

    Can anyone shed some light on what is going on, or what I can do to fix these issues?

    If your custom, non-WordPress mail script failed, then you’ll need to ask your host for the details of what they allow.

    Are you positive that the mails are not being filtered as spam at the receiving end?

    Yes I’m positive they’re not being filtered. I’ve checked my spam filter countless times.

    Additionally, what boggles me is that on the same server, WordPress 1.6alpha sends out notifications just fine!

    I fixed the problem.

    As it turns out, the email I used for receiving notifications, suddenly started blocking emails that were sent using forms, and apparently also WordPress. It still received email from regular mail apps, but everything got dandy when I tried to paste in my gmail address.

    Damn.

    I am having the same problem. No email notifications for comments. I have gathered that my server does not provide email forwarding but they did provide the path which is /usr/bin/sendmail. Is there a way to manually include this in any of the wordpress files to be able to get email notifications?
