Installed and set up plugin as per instructions on AMP website.

    Went to Home page:
Clicked on AMP Page Builder (with the bolt icon)
    Checkmarked ‘Enable Builder’
Added a text and button module with text and link info.

Show AMP for Current page? Show
Mobile Redirection for Current Page: Enable

Saved. No display of text nor button on the page on mobile device.

** there are no caching plugins or caching set up **

If I was to remove the modules and uncheckmarked ‘Enable Builder’, then the content will show using the default template chosen in the AMPforWP Options, but I don’t want it to display like that.

If you are enabling the page builder, make sure you have some content in the wysiwyg (main content editor), if it’s empty then it will not display.

AMP Page builder is going through a big tech & design overhaul, it will be released in 0.9.80 in a week. See this for more details: https://ampforwp.com/whats-coming-in-the-december-2017/

Just wait for a couple of days, you’ll see some big improvements, then you will be able to use it easily.

    Thank you for your patience.

I’ll wait this week. It’s unfortunate that this doesn’t work out of the box with themes that are built with Visual Builder. This would be an invaluable tool, if I can get it to work.

    Hi @toad78

We are going to improve this every day and every week of the month.

It’s very complex to make it out of the box but that’s our end goal.

I suppose you are using “Visual Composer” page builder? Or you mean Visual Builder of the WordPress?

Your feedback seems very helpful, please give me some of your time.

It’s not easy to make the visual composer compatibility in WordPress, but we are going to do it in the future: https://github.com/ahmedkaludi/accelerated-mobile-pages/issues/1445

If you would like us to do it early, then you can contact us on [email protected]

So then what am I to do at this point if I can’t get your product to work with just plain text/images? Nothing displays when I use your Page Builder.

    Hi @toad78

Here’s what you can do, you can use AMP Page builder 2.0 which release a day ago to build complex AMP layouts.

You can download the AMP Page Builder 2.0 version from: https://ampforwp.com/swift-beta/

You can build any kind of site with that and I am sure it will work.

Do let me know if that helps.
