NO CATEGORY URL Permalink Settings

    I did permalink setiing but it doesnt work

    Category base ”　. 　”　　I put dot doesnt work..

    I try all not sure category doesnt show up any more.. I want to show page list without category url

    /%category%/%postname%.html
    /%category%/%postname%/

    no plugin i wan to use

    do i need to use function.php for it ?　　

    Problem:It does show all category posts list in index.
