"No Categories" Display Error

additional – when I add categories to the RightColumn it lists all my categories successfully and looks fine on the website, its just so weird that it allows me to do this when this odd categories section is also there.

generally, the ‘widget’ might be hard coded into sidebar.php, and the code might be broken – look for some code with wp_list_categories()

or paste the full code of sidebar.php into a https://pastebin.com/ and post the link to it here –

Try editing your theme’s sidebar.php file and removing <?php wp_list_categories();?>.
