No captions when using new Block Editor

Did you enable loading captions from the database in the Lightbox settings in the backend?

As I see, the new galleries use <figure> with <figcaption>. There is already a fix for this in the queue which will be integrated soon:

I just released version 1.92 which should fix this issue.

BTW: The reason why even using the database did not work is the fact, the the gallery block creates links to custom sizes of the images and not the media itself ??

The images in the classic block are links to the real media, for example:

However the gallery block uses reduced sizes (1024×683) in the gallery:

Since I use the image URL to find the metadata in the database it could not be found, as the real URL would be without “-1024×683” in the name. I did not find any setting in the gallery block to avoid this and it looks like a bug in Gutenberg.
