    And as I submit this, I realize that there’s a cache for AO that I didn’t clear. I could generate other JS errors, although not the same as above.

    I found that adding the main.js to the exclude made things worse, however, this combination worked:

    Force JavaScript in <head>? CHECKED
    Also aggregate inline JS? NOT CHECKED
    Exclude scripts from Autoptimize: Default settings
    Add try-catch wrapping? CHECKED

    Maybe another plugin’s set of scripts is contributing to this.
