No button for Save Draft and other things

Hey, dragonsjaw, I’m another Classic Editor user.

I would suggest using a plugin such as Health Check to temporarily deactivate all plugins (excluding the Classic Editor plugin) as well as switch your theme to one of the default Twenty themes to determine whether that fixes your issue.

Did you try what @plantprogrammer suggested?

Kindly check if the issue persists when you have only the Classic Editor plugin active + a default WordPress theme on your site.

If it does, please advise which theme you are using and any other information that might help us investigate.

ty Life took over and I haven’t worked this out yet.
Fortunately the front end of the site is fine, and as it is quite active at this time, I will wait a bit before doing this.
Most likely this weekend-early next week.

Well I did install Health Check, but when trying to use it all I get is the block editor to check -test. Does not help me.

Another question: Does the ‘save draft’ button only appear on new posts or pages?

Once they are uploaded, and then going to edit, that is when the ‘save draft’ is gone for me.
I went to several other sites and found the same thing and think this is just the way this plugin now works. ???

While in Health Check’s troubleshooting mode, try activating the Classic Editor plugin and see if your issues persist. That will help rule out any other plugin conflicting with it.

The “Save draft” button is only available on posts and pages that are in Draft status, so ones that have not yet been published. (This is the same whether or not the Classic Editor plugin is active.)

Gonna blame some of this on poor old memory..
the rest of the issues seem to be fixed.
And currently Classic Editor is running as it should.
