On my PC using chrome all my pages display fine. However, when viewed in the default Android browser the white background does not appear in the document frame. This happens when displaying text only documents and does not seem to happen when displaying documents with graphical elements.

I am using theme twenty sixteen with a dark color scheme.

  • Thank you for getting in touch. Sorry, I have just edited this answer because I misunderstood the method you were using to embed the document.

To be honest I find the default Android browser to be very limited so any number of problems could be cropping up!

Ultimately, Google is responsible for rendering the document so we don’t have any control over the display within their ‘iframe’.

The only possible workaround I can think of is to experiment with setting the background color in the original document to see if that changes anything.

Otherwise, you could report the bug to Google, but I’m not sure how likely it is that they will respond directly… The default Android browser just isn’t very well built especially if you are using an older version, and I imagine Google focus on their Chrome browser for Android.

    Thanks,

    Dan
