No avatars in IE 8

    wpmu enables

    My avatars are not showing up in IE 8. They show up in firefox and chrome. When I ran developers tools in IE 8 it has https:///vapersplace.com as part of the html.
    When I take out one of the backslashes (since it has three) in developers tools the avatar appears. How can I fix this so they all appear? Thanks.
