no audio playing in video intro video

  • I have audio embedded into the intro video that opens our site. However, the audio doesn’t play when the site is visited, just the video. It’s a quick 8 second video but there is audio in the native file. I’ve uploaded this file to Vimeo and copied the link in wordpress. Can you help troubleshoot why this is happening? Thank you!

    If your video is set to autoplay, most browsers will automatically mute the audio. I’m assuming this since we cannot currently access your site.

    It’s not possible to override this behavior, nor should you consider doing so. Audio playing without some kind of user action is intrusive and annoying.

    Sorry for the late reply. The site is up and active but still no audio. Really it’ll be more sound fx than anything for the 8 second duration prior to the landing page. Not sure how to incorporate that.
