• Despite my best efforts, I can’t get the audio to work. It shows the player but then says 0:00/0:00

Right now I have it selected to store audio in Amazon S3
The option to save local doesn’t work for me.

    It says _______________________________
    Enable Media Library support:
Local storage needs to be enabled
    _____________________________

But it does not give me any way to activate local storage in my settings.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I tried articles of different sizes. Here is another example https://girlpowergirlstrong.com/how-to-fight-with-your-husband/

The audio bar appears but it says the same as all the others 0:00/0:00

Do you think it has something to do with the local storage not being enabled? If so, how do I enable it. All it says is that

    _____________________________
Enable Media Library support: Local storage needs to be enabled
    _____________________________

But it doesn’t actually tell me how to do it. ??

I realize that the Amazon web service was down yesterday but just so you know this is still an issue with me and it happened prior to the AWS crash. So I still need support pleaseee.

Here is a post I updated today. The audio bar is there but like the others says 0 out of 0.

Is there some specific setting on my server that needs to be activated or some software or version of something that needs confined?

I really really want to use this plugin but there is some configuration in my server that is preventing me and until I can get some support to know what I am out of luck ??

8 days later, still no reply. Guess we can say this plugin is not a priority for the developers. ??

I too am having this issue. When I look at s3 and toggle “Show Versions” I only see delete markers for what would have been my audio files. IAM permissions for this plugin access to AWS is exactly per the guide for setting this up. I really want to use this app for my personal website as well as for a company’s website I manage. Please advise, SDE folks. Thank you!

Yep it looks like you have the exact same problem as me.

I just can’t help but wonder if it’s something on our hosting side. Like we don’t have something turned on or some backend PHP thing activated that is needed to make this work.

Man this is one plugin that has zero support ??

4 months without text to speech in my website… Nobody from AWS helps, and it’s not free! :/

I may have found a workaround. One day our admininstrative assistant created a post with her WordPress account and it had audio! I tried creating another admin account for myself and couldn’t create audio. I then created an editor role account and Polly worked for me! Our sysadmin cannot find the reason for this after looking at logs why it works for some accounts and not others. Try it out and let me know if it works for you, as an interim fix.
