• Hi, I have been using the plugin on a few sites for a while now and all is OK. But recently, one of my shops seems to be deleting the spreadplugin articles and asks me to rebuild the cache randomly.

What’s happening: I build the cache, check the site, all is OK, I can see the products. Then I go back, sometimes a day later, sometimes only a few hours later and there are no products.
there doesn’t seem to be a pattern. They just go missing, randomly.

The only odd thing I know is happening is that I have 3 pages that show all products…
Polo Shirts – https://hairybarsnacks.com/pork-scratching-gift-shop/polo-shirts/ – [spreadplugin shop_productcategory=”Q4″] – this does NOT show only polo shirts, it shows all products.
Tee Shirts – https://hairybarsnacks.com/pork-scratching-gift-shop/tee-shirts/ – [spreadplugin shop_productcategory=”Q1″] – this does NOT show only tee shirts, it shows all products.
Hoodies Shirts – https://hairybarsnacks.com/pork-scratching-gift-shop/hoodies/ – [spreadplugin shop_productcategory=”Q2″] – this does NOT show only hoodies, it shows all products.
I’m using Q1,Q2,Q4 as indicated in the plugin settings BUT I think this may a problem because on my Spreadshirt shop https://shop.spreadshirt.co.uk/hairybarsnacks/ these 3 categories have now been split up into men and women’s pages – could this be part of the problem?
Hopefully you know what’s happening. thanks in advance as always!

    be because spreadshirt

    Hi,
I have siteground hosting, and use the SG Optimiser plugin. this deals with the cache, image compression, SSL etc.
    thanks

can you check SG Optimiser plugin if it cleans or “optimizes” transients? Spreadplugin currently just uses transients, because I didn’t find the time to create a separate database for it. It might happen that some plugins “optimize” the transients and so delete the products.

    hi, no obvious transients settings.
I caching I can see (that’s not just the normal ‘cache on’ setting…
    Memcached
Powerful object caching for your site. It stores frequently executed queries to your databases and reuses them for better performance.
    Browser Caching
Adds rules to store in your visitors’ browser cache to keep static content longer for better site performance.

    I just did a test.
    all looked OK.
I then cleared the SG cache, looked back at the site in a different browser and the products have disappeared. SO this must be the issue. I’m guessing that the SG cache must be automatically clearing without me knowing!
