No "Appearance" Tab despite Admin status

Please help! For some reason, despite my having admin status, there is no “Appearance” tab for me to use which means that I cannot edit my theme, edit my title, add widgets, nothing!

Any advice/guidance on this would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
