    Hello,

First of all: great plugin! I have invested a few days to get it up and running, removing a lof of features and plugins from the website for the sake of speed. SO far so good.

But two things in particular seems to be very difficult and require a lot of coding.

    1. AMP compatile menu’s for mobile
    2. AMP compatible analytics

Your biggest competitor has features for number 1. Are you planning to implement these (soon) as well? Because at the moment, this is a major deal breaker for your plugin. Without a proper menu, the whole plugin becomes useless if the theme doesn’t support an AMP menu.

And for 2: Google’s insane tutorial (here) about implementing AMP analytics is another big hurdle. If you can make this easier with your plugin, I am pretty sure a LOT more people will actually try and use it.

  • Thanks for the kind words, and great to hear you’re looking into going AMP with your site.

In relation to a compatible navigation menu if you’re using an AMP compatible theme the existing navigation menu should work the same in AMP as it does in non AMP. Some other AMP plugins do indeed have their own navigation menu although that’s with their own AMP theme, not matching your existing theme. With this AMP plugin you can utilize your existing theme for your AMP URLs via transitional or standard mode, or select from a list of curated themes for your AMP URLs in reader mode. These curated themes, just recently available, do feature a navigation menu.

If you find your navigation menu isn’t work in AMP with your existing theme then you can contact the theme developer or make programmatic changes using amp-bind.

In relation to Analytics have you tried out the Site Kit plugin? It makes it easy to insert Google Analytics code into your site, for both AMP and non AMP users. It also implements AMP containers via Google Tag Manager.
