No ALT text for logo

  • I’m surprised to see twentyseventeen doesn’t use the ALT field for the logo image. Isn’t that a basic w3c validation requirement? Any chance of fixing this in an update? It’s not easily fixed without getting into the theme function files, I believe. Am I missing something?

    OK, never mind. The customizer creates a 2nd version of the logo whether you crop it or not, but doesn’t carry over ALT text in the media library. When I went back to the library and added ALT text to the generated image, it is included when loaded in the theme.
