Why is there no option to select “all products” or “all categories”? I don’t know why, but category discount will not work on my website. It will just not show the table on the product (bug or “feature”?).

Since I want to have 2 levels of global volume discounts, I need to add 2 rules for every category. And it does not even work with daughter categories. Means, I need to do it for every single sub-category.

By now, I only have about 10 categories. Times 2 means already 20 rules.

In the near future, I will have about 30 categories, what comes to 60 rules?!?!

Really?? Or did I miss something?

Why is there no “all categories” or “all products” option in the selection list?

  • Hi,

If you’re not able to get the pricing table if that’s what you mean the pricing table works only for the product rules, and the category rule if you want to apply to all categories you can use the cart rule instead, but that option is available only in the premium version of the plugin, the reason we do not keep all categories option is that the category rule is specific for the categories selected in the rule set up, if you need to apply to all products or categories you can use the cart rule instead.

As I said in my review today: I can’t understand your excuse not to have an option to select “all categories”. I added another category, applied it to every product, and then selected this new category. But the problem is, that I have now an additional category, what I needed to hide from showing by modifying the code, and it still shows the useless “all items” category on the product detail page. This not a good solution, but at least it works… Or better, it WOULD work, if the calculation issue would be fixed. Right now, every discount will be applied 2 times, and this renders the plugin useless for me. Unfortunately, I was not able to find something similar yet. So I really wan to use your plugin, since it has the potential to do what I want.

    Hi,

In the product rule you can select the drop down “Rule Applicable on” select All products in cart, and select check on ” Quantity”

This should apply the discount on all products in cart if the quantity reach the minimum set.

If the discounts are showing incorrectly please do try switching to a different theme to see if the discounts show correctly.

Also see if you have set in the settings the calculation mode as best discount or first match rule.
