No alignment of pics on left or right

I manage a website with the BRITE theme on which it is no longer possible to insert an image into a block via the alignment button, so that the text is circulating.
In edit mode, the photo within a blogpost is properly aligned left or right, but after publishing WP puts the photo above or below the text. On a page it’s even in edit mode not working. Does anyone have a solution to the problem?
