Ahhhhhhhh ?? I hate plugins that do this type of thing… automatically installed the upgrade on 10+ sites we manage (via ManageWP.com) and now things are *again* screwed up with this plugin…

    1) We had added template tags in all our sites’ themes to place the Related Posts, and now we see them twice on each Post page. So we need to remove everything from the templates since there seems no method now to adjust these…???

    2) I see “Advanced settings” in the admin areas, but there is a line underneath and absolutely no controls or anytging to do with Advanced settings… so do i need to be a Pro user to use that?

Hmmm again… I View Source on this admin page under the Advanced Settings and it seems the code is there but nothing is displaying… I see this though:

Ok we solve problem. We see on right side a very faint arrow to unveil settings. I suggest you make that much much darker and bigger for low resolution or not so bright screens can see to that….

very frustrating seeing a company rollout plugin like this. maybe individual could do it and be allowed to get away with it, but you are zemanata… my meaning is now on each and every site we updated we must go through and change settings because your update overwrite all the settings and make duplicates. very very very very very frustrating and I would fire my plugin developer if they did that for us and to our clients.

When turn on your plugin it says:

By turning on Related Posts you agree to terms of service.

    And it links to here:

    https://www.zemanta.com/rp-tos

But that is not a Terms of Service and just goes to your blog page… so are we agreeing to name our first borns “Zemanta”… there are either no TOS or they are infinitely “open”….

    Hey @wpchina,

thanks for reaching out and we understand your frustration completely!

It certainly wasn’t our intention for this settings overwrite to happen and we are very eager to help you out. We would like to ask you to un-tick the box next to “Auto Insert Related Posts (or add<?php wp_related_posts()?> to your single post template)” and we believe this will fix your duplicate related posts issue.

Also, we apologize for not making the “arrow” more visible – one of our main goals is to always look at our product from the viewpoint of our user, in order to minimize any misunderstandings and eliminate any possible problems, that might occur. Due to our best intentions, some may slip through and that’s why we are thankful for our users, who are pointing things out that we miss.

Finally, we truly appreciate the heads up on the terms of service link issue – we were rearranging some pages and some links got messed up, completely our fault, we will fix this ASAP!

In the meantime, rest assured that this case has been forwarded to our product development team.

We appreciate your valuable feedback, but we would also like to ask you for your understanding.

Take care and have a nice day!
