For some reason, AdSense isn’t working on any of my category or tag pages. I tried putting an image the same size as an AdSense leaderboard there once and the image displayed on both the category and tag pages. I tried putting the AdSense code there directly and that didn’t work.

To make matters worse, I already tried 2 advertising management (Simple Ads Manager and AdRotate) plugins and neither of them resolved the problem. Can anybody help me with getting ads to display on the category and tag pages?

And to clear up any confusion, ads display everywhere except for the category and tag pages.

some of the category archives and most (all ?) of the tag archives are showing ads.

there might be a reason for google not to show ads in some archives maybe because of not enough content (?)

genral, even the category archive pages, which do not show ads such as ‘advice’, seem to output the same adsense code as the frontpage – so the coding seems to be ok.

    have you contacted adsense directly?

Strange. None of the AdSense ads pop up on either of those pages. It’s just either the adBrite ones or a test “Advertising opportunities are available” that display, which I placed only to see if it just AdSense or if it’s a theme or WordPress problem.

Can this be associated with my installation being 3.3.2? Because I didn’t see this on 3.3.1

EDIT: There are usually three ads on the site: One on the header next to the logo and two on the sidebar (1 top, 1 bottom).

    Never mind. I’m reinstalling WP.
If the mod is here, please close this thread.

Actually, I haven’t thought of that. Since all ad units but AdSense work, I’ll contact AdSense.

    Thanks for the tip, alchymyth.

Rather embarrassingly, after some research and debugging, I found out that it was my robots.txt file that was causing the problems, as it didn’t let Google’s bots get into my /category/ and /tag/ pages. If I’m right, AdSense should work properly in about 48 hours.

    Sorry for the trouble, pressers.

I have the same issue ??

whatever in the the ‘technology’ doesn’t appear ads here .

at the same time we can see when use other category or sub-category working fine demo
