No Ads Showing

  • Upgraded to version 3.0 this morning and no ads are showing anymore. I noticed the change from <!–adsense–> to <!–am–> for the default ad, which I’m sure will break ad display on many sites.

    Why was the decision made to move from <!–adsense–> to <!–am–> ?

    Also, when I change the post ad code from <!–adsense–> to <!–am–> on a single post, the ads still won’t show on that post.

    UPDATE: I went to the Manage>>Ad Units page and did “Edit Settings” on the default ad unit. I just opened that up and saved the settings for that ad unit and the ads start appearing where <!–am–> OR <!–adsense–> appears in posts.

    tlongren: The <!–am#–> form was added as a shorthand (I’ll put a note that the old version still works).

    I’ll have a check why the Edit Settings is needed to make things work. Thanks for figuring that out!
