no ads in sidebar when set to responsive(in adsense).

when i added an ad in my sidebar, it didn’t work. i set the sd size to fixed with the measured height and width, and it worked. but it gave unpleasant results . sometimes the ad is shorter than the sidebar height and sometimes its fine. i want responsive ads to work in my site.
