I created a FB pixel, installed it through Pixel Cat in WordPress, and created the ad in FB ad manager. FB says the pixel is live, however, there has been no activity since installation back in July.

    What have I done wrong?

Pixel is set to fire on view content, and Pixel Cat is set to install the pixel on every page. We have seen a major uptick in FB page visitors, but no activity in the pixel. I did try testing the pixel, but it could not detect the presence of a pixel. Yes, I have an ad blocker, and I disabled the ad blocker first.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Rjritterjr,

Thanks for contacting us about this, I will be happy to help.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with this.

Looking at your website with the Pixel Helper extension and also the page source, I can see that a Pixel is on your site and it’s last few digits are -98917. Would that be correct?

Another thing you could look at is making double sure you have set up the view content event correctly. Can you tell me how you set this event up and under which parameters? It could be that the event is tracking something that is never firing and therefore never reporting since the event is never happening as per a mistake in the event set up.

Let me know how it goes looking at those suggestions and if you need any further assistance.

    All the best.

98917 is correct. It could be that I don’t understand quite how this is supposed to work. This is my first pixel.

I took several screenshots and put them in this link.

In poking around in Facebook, it does look like the Pixel now has activity, but there is no activity in the ad and still no activity in the test events section in Facebook pixel. But I just happened to remember that I did exclude myself from getting an ad. I don’t know if that would hinder test events.

I would appreciate some feedback after you have a chance to look over the screenshots. Maybe everything is set up correctly, and I just need to wait longer or make a more appealing ad, LOL.

    Hi Rjritterjr,

Thanks for getting back to me with that information.

So as per your screenshots there does appear to be 66 events for the “View Content” event.

For testing, it is probably a good idea to go into “Settings” and remove anything in the box that says “Exclude Users” and then when performing the “Test Your Events” do so in an incognito window to be safe.

Let us know how it goes with those suggestions.

    All the best.
